Hi, I’m the owner of Helping Hands Handyman, a locally rooted business serving Sussex and Kent Counties of Delaware with honest, reliable help for small home repairs, odd jobs, emergency lockouts, car key replacement, junk removal, property management and everything in between.

I moved to Delaware from Pennsylvania about four years ago to work for another local company. It didn’t take long to notice something: a serious shortage of trustworthy companies that actually show up, do good work, and treat people right, especially when it comes to smaller jobs.

In a community like ours, filled with retirees, widows, and seasonal homeowners, that gap becomes a real problem. And over those four years, I saw it firsthand: good people needing help with important things that weren’t “big enough” for most companies to bother with.

I didn’t just want to be another handyman service. I wanted to build a business rooted in something deeper, integrity, trustworthiness, and a genuine desire to help.

Helping Hands is about being there when others aren’t. We’re not chasing big remodels or long-haul construction jobs. We specialize in the things that often get ignored, the “too small” jobs that still really matter:

  • Installing a grab bar for safety

  • Replacing a lock or smart keypad after someone moves

  • Mounting a TV or assembling furniture

  • Cleaning out a dryer vent or decluttering a garage

  • Coming out quickly when you’re locked out or need urgent help

To me these aren’t small, they’re essential. And I believe helping someone feel safe, comfortable, and supported in their home is one of the most important jobs there is.
